🌼 Defining Your Vibe: Finding Your Style Story

Welcome back to *The Five Building Blocks* series here on Daisy Change Diaries!

In our last post, we cleared space with a Closet Cleanse. Now it’s time to figure out what you actually want to fill that space with. Your vibe is more than “I like jeans and t-shirts” — it’s the energy, mood, and story behind your style. Getting clear on this makes shopping easier, getting dressed more fun, and your wardrobe truly one-of-a-kind.

Step 1: Mood Board Your Life

Collect anything that excites you:* Images (Pinterest, magazines, Instagram saves)* Colors and textures* Lyrics, quotes, or even movie stills* Art, travel spots, or street style snaps

Put it all together in one place. The patterns will start to reveal themselves.

Step 2: Spot Your Style inspirations

Think about icons, characters, or aesthetics that pull you in. Maybe it’s Stevie Nicks’ witchy bohemian vibe, Audrey Hepburn’s timeless chic, or Zendaya’s fearless modern glamour.

These aren’t meant to be copied — they’re clues.

Step 3: Name Your Vibe

Give your style a label or phrase that captures its energy. It could be something like:* Romantic Grunge* Earthy Minimalism* Futuristic Vintage* Dreamy Punk The words don’t have to be perfect — they’re just a compass.

Step 4: Test the Vibe Against Your Closet.

Look back at the “Love It” pile from your Closet Cleanse. Do those favorite pieces align with the energy of your chosen vibe?

If yes, you’re already halfway there. If not, that shows you where the gaps are — and what to look for in future pieces.

🌼 Final Thought

Your vibe isn’t a box to trap yourself in — it’s a guiding light. It can (and should!) evolve as you do. The goal isn’t to follow rules, but to find the words and visuals that help you recognize what feels *authentically you.
